Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) said Hillary Clinton became “unhinged” when she asked her about racy photos of Bill Clinton that were revealed in the Jeffrey Epstein files.
“She was screaming. She was unhinged. I hope that President Clinton is less unhinged today than his wife was yesterday,” she said.
Mace, in the closed-door deposition on Thursday, asked Hillary Clinton about her feelings when she saw the photos made famous by the mass release of the Department of Justice’s files on the late sex offender. “We’re not here to discuss my feelings,” Clinton reportedly retorted.
The American people will see the exchange for themselves soon enough, Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said.
“We’re going to get the video out quickly,” he said of Hillary Clinton’s testimony, adding it could come out as soon as Friday afternoon. “The American people will see it.”
For her part, Hillary Clinton accused Republican lawmakers of performing “partisan political theater” through their questions.
She told reporters in New York on Thursday that she had “answered every one of their questions as fully as I could based on what I knew.”
“I don’t know how many times I had to say, ‘I did not know Jeffrey Epstein,’” she noted.
She also complained that Republicans veered off topic, asking her about UFOs and the debunked Pizzagate conspiracy theory.
