Uneven predictions last week have us hinging on “Monday Night Football.”

We bet the Giants +3.5 on Monday with the thought that Jayden Daniels was not a shoo-in to start in Week 5. He wound up playing but the Giants still covered the spread.

The Bears -2 was just a terrible read from the beginning, and we now wait on Bills +3.5 to see if we had a winning week.

We head into Week 6 looking to beat some lines and get opportunistic closing line value spots.

NFL Week 6 early predictions

Bills (-5.5, Polymarket) vs. Raiders

We’re fading the Raiders in every way possible until Fernando Mendoza is installed as quarterback.

I think we get at least one more week of Kirk Cousins as the starting quarterback in Las Vegas and I’m looking to be aggressive targeting Buffalo in this spot.

You can get Bills -5.5 on Polymarket right now, the best line on the market as this lookahead line opened at -6.5. What about last week’s blowout loss to the Patriots screams that they’re better than we thought?

Las Vegas went from the No. 12 team in DVOA to No. 25 with that embarrassing loss, and I think that’s a more realistic spot for them going forward, and right in line with their preseason expectations.

If the Bills were to win this week, this line will balloon to -7 and you’re looking at middle opportunities.

Texans (+3, DraftKings) vs. Jaguars

Houston has a divisional matchup here and they should be getting a little bit of a boost, if only morally vs. in actuality, with their trade for Marvin Harrison Jr.

That and take into account that this lookahead line had Jaguars -1.5, you’re getting another 1.5-point for a Texans team that is desperate for a win here.

Betting on the NFL?

Target Houston here, they’re the No. 11 team in the NFL now per DVOA and while the Jaguars are rated second, this is a good spot to take the field goal.

Houston is allowing 4.4 yards per play in their last three games, third best in the league. Last chance to buy low on the Texans.
