Nicole Kidman Goes Back to Long Hair at 2025 ACM Awards with Keith Urban after Shocking Met Gala Bob

It’s a big night for Keith Urban and his wife, Nicole Kidman.

The country music singer, 57, and the actress, 57, arrived for the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards in Frisco, Texas, on May 8, in chic, coordinating all black looks and were not shy about putting their love on display.

The “Somebody Like You” singer is receiving a special honor from the Academy of Country Music. Urban is the first person to receive the ACM Triple Crown during the ACM Awards show since Carrie Underwood in 2010. The Triple Crown is awarded to artists who have earned the new artist of the year, artist of the year and entertainer of the year awards. And Kidman was there as a proud plus-one.

Urban kept his look in a sleek black suit look featuring a velvet blazer and vest, showing off his chest tattoos. Kidman wore a leather-like halter top and a pair of trousers with a skirt like overlay. But the buzziest part of her look was her long, straight center-parted hair.

It’s been a busy week for Kidman. On Monday, May 5, the Babygirl star debuted a shocking short hair transformation at the 2025 Met Gala. Kidman sported a chic, new cropped style, which appeared to be a bob length but slicked down. It all complemented her black vintage-inspired Balenciaga gown.  Per Vogue, Balenciaga designer Demna used a gown featured in a 1952 issue of Harper’s Bazaar London as inspiration. At the waist and hips, the look featured silk satin bow belts. 

Before that, Kidman arrived at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards in a suit in February. The actress opted for a Saint Laurent suit, an oversized tan wool jacket and matching high-waisted wide-leg wool pants. Under the jacket, she wore a striped shirt and silk tie.

Last year, Kidman attended the 2024 Met Gala with her husband in tow. She dazzled in a custom Balenciaga reinterpretation of a 1950s Cristóbal Balenciaga Couture evening gown. It featured a white double silk satin bustier with tail worn over a long-flared skirt with hand-frayed organza and feather-like embroidery.

Meanwhile, Urban was also decked out in Balenciaga. He wore a black single-breasted jacket with straight-leg pants. He complemented the look with a bow tie and cummerbund in black satin and black shoes.

That year, Kidman spoke exclusively with PEOPLE just before the Met Gala. She shared that she still gets nervous before the major event, but her husband makes it easier.

“I have my man with me,” Kidman said, reaching for Urban, who was standing nearby.

The couple’s fashion instincts have passed down to their kids as well. On Oct. 1, Kidman and Urban’s daughter Sunday Rose made her runway debut. She graced the catwalk in Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2025 Paris Fashion Week show.

Sunday wore a sleeveless white dress with a ribbon-like detail on the neckline and eyelet trim. Her blonde hair parted in the center and was tucked behind her ears. Black knee socks and black open-toe shoes contrasted with the white look.
