Former President Barack Obama is set to be in Madison Tuesday next week to boost Democratic presidential hopeful Kamala Harris.

Obama is set to be in Madison with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for a rally to drum up support for Democratic candidates up and down the ballot on the first day of in-person early voting in Wisconsin.

The news comes three weeks out from the November election, in which Harris will face off against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his vice president pick JD Vance.

Obama has drawn large crowds in Madison in previous visits, attracting some 17,000 people to the Kohl Center in 2008, just before he won the Democratic primary the same year he first took office as the first Black U.S. President.

Now, Obama is putting his might behind the candidate who could become the first Black woman U.S. President.
