Tis the season for wish lists.
Two days after the Dolphins released Odell Beckham Jr., NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Sunday the veteran wide receiver has a “short list” of teams he’d like to play for following his brief stint in Miami.
Though “it’s not entirely clear where that list begins and ends,” according to Pelissero, “The focus for Beckham is to land in the right situation.”
Beckham, 32, is free to sign with another team if he clears waivers Monday after 4 p.m.
A three-time Pro Bowler, Beckham originally signed a one-year contract with the Dolphins in May.
Joining an explosive receiving corps headlined by Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, Beckham recorded just nine catches for 55 yards without a touchdown through nine games with the Dolphins.
The Dolphins announced Friday they were parting ways with Beckham in what was said to be a mutual decision, per NFL Network.
Should Beckham clear waivers, he could potentially go home again — sort of.
With his former Ravens and Rams teams in the thick of the playoff chase, Beckham could possibly add depth to their rosters.
He spent the 2023 season in Baltimore, tallying 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games.
Prior to that, Beckham won his first and only Super Bowl as a member of the Rams in February 2022.
He got off to an electric start in the championship contest against the Bengals but exited early after tearing his ACL.
Beckham joined the Rams in November 2021 after being waived by the Browns.
He began his career in 2014 with the Giants, who drafted him 12th overall, and was later traded to Cleveland in March 2019.
Through 119 appearances, Beckham has totaled 575 receptions for 7,987 receiving yards and 59 touchdowns.
