Sweeps week?

The Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Mavericks may have avoided the sweep in their respective finals series, but the brooms were out at Citi Field.

The Padres come off a lost weekend, dropping all three to the Mets (Yes, the Mutts have gone 5-0 since we bet them last week).

San Diego plays the NL-best Phillies on Monday.

The Padres’ Randy Vasquez has one win in eight starts but allowed one run over five frames in his last start.

Philly’s Cristopher Sanchez gave up four runs in four innings in his latest outing.

Doggin’ it. Play $50 on the Padres (+160, ESPN BET).

Pass the Jameson! Jameson Taillon gave up a two-run homer to Pedro Pages (Who?).

The catcher (who is hitting .132, that’s who), and that was all the Cards needed as they held off the Cubs, 2-1.

With two out and two on in the ninth inning Patrick Wisdom’s screamer landed just short of the ivy out in left field.

We will try to turn the Pages, Pedro, your homer has us at -676 dechambeaus.
