Drake Maye pulled off the biggest play of his life.

The Patriots quarterback proposed to his longtime girlfriend Ann Michael Hudson, announcing the pair was engaged in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

“Love doing life with you. Can’t wait to marry you!” Maye wrote in the caption of the photo carousel that showed the moment he dropped to one knee, followed by the pair posing by the water at sunset at an unnamed location.

The Patriots also posted a message of congratulations on their Instagram account.

“Congratulations Drake Maye and Ann Michael Hudson!!” the team wrote along with pictures from Maye’s post.

Maye, 22, and his soon-to-be bride received a number of congratulations from former Patriots — including Bailey Zappe and Hunter Henry — along with fellow rookie quarterbacks Jayden Daniels and J.J. McCarthy.

The couple even received a hearty congratulations from Izzy Nix, the wife of Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix.

Maye and Hudson have been dating since middle school and celebrated their ninth anniversary in October.

“9 years with you and it keeps getting better everyday. I couldn’t imagine my life with out you as my best friend,” Hudson wrote in an Instagram post then. “I love you more than you know!”

The pair attended the University of North Carolina, where Hudson is still a student in the business school.

New England selected Maye with the third overall pick in 2024, and he started 12 games in his first year, making his NFL debut in a relief effort during a Week 3 loss to the Jets.

Maye threw for 2,276 yards and 15 touchdowns in his rookie season as one of the top first-year players in 2024.

The young quarterback will be under the tutelage of new Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel next season after the team moved on from Jerod Mayo.
