CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg will be holding a town hall in downtown Cedar Rapids on Tuesday.

Buttigieg is familiar with Iowa. He received the most delegates during Iowa’s democratic caucuses in 2020.

According to the event’s website, the town hall will serve as a place for Iowans to discuss the impacts of recent policies on the American people.

It’ll be his first in-person, public event since serving as Transportation Secretary with the Biden administration.

The town hall is being hosted by VoteVets Action Fund in Cedar Rapids.

Registration for the event has closed. The event is expected to be at capacity. Its location was kept private. Attendees who RSVP’d were sent location and arrival instructions on Monday.

The event is expected to begin at 5:30 p.m., doors open at 4:30 p.m.
