Rachel Brosnahan isn’t just a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry—with a resume that spans TV, film, and on-stage roles—she’s a fashion girl too. The award-winning The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel funny woman has captured our attention not just for her wit and comedic timing, but her polished, poised, and glamorous style moments off-screen too.

The Midwest-born actress, who’s a niece of late designer Kate Spade, has been in the public eye since 2009, long before the Amazon Prime Video period show about a 1950s housewife put her on the map. And thanks to a collaboration in recent years with stylist Alexandra Mandelkorn, Brosnahan’s red carpet track record has seen her transform from theater ingénue to a fashion plate that routinely tops best-dressed lists.

From sizzling Versace numbers to striking Sergio Hudson gowns and suits, she’s always pulling out all the stops.  Here are Rachel Brosnahan’s best red carpet looks.

Brosnahan wowed us in the color of the season—vampy oxblood—when she stepped out in figure-cinching Atelier Versace at the Emmys this year. The corseted gown was based on an original Gianni Versace design from 1995, and boy did she do it justice by adding some modern earcuffs and a sleek blowout.

Gilded goddess! At the Screen Actors Guild Awards, where she was nominated for her role as Midge, the brunette star looked striking in a tiered metallic gown with floral accents by couturier Tamara Ralph.

Red is her color! Brosnahan showed off her enviably flawless porcelain skin in a daring shade of scarlet, stepping out in custom Sergio Hudson—a New York name who’s fast become one of her favorite designers.

We’ve loved to see Brosnahan lean into her dark tresses and play with more punk, gothic looks on the red carpet this year. Case in point: the sexy Givenchy pre-fall number she and Mandelkorn opted for at the Critics Choice Awards in January.

Blinging! The cameras went crazy for the statuesque style star when she showed up in all-out sequins, in a sweetheart column gown by Rosario which perfectly complemented her necklace from the buzzy collaboration.

How to make a dinnertime look ooze with a rock n’ roll edge? Look no further than this standout styling approach. Never have leather trousers and a shimmery tank top seemed so appealing—although it helps that it’s head-to-toe Chanel.

One thing this entertainer isn’t afraid to do lately is make bold moves on the red carpet. Ergo, for the 2023 Met Gala, Brosnahan upped the ante in a gown with a sheer bodysuit embellished and accentuated with strategically placed beads. Risqué, but definitely worth the risk!

Work! Brosnahan and Mandelkorn’s collaboration was really noticeable in recent years, as the actress continued to wow us with press appearances and red carpet moments alike. At the opening night of her play The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window on Broadway, Brosnahan showed her new range in an electric blue and black leather ensemble by Sergio Hudson.

Another awards ceremony, another nomination! Brosnahan was pretty as a picture in an embellished gown with a deep plunging neckline by Pamela Rolland.

Old-school elegance! Peach taffeta isn’t the easiest to pull off, especially not when it’s voluminous and ruffled too, but the actress made it look like a doddle at the charity gala in Vivienne Westwood, styled by Law Roach.

A little bit gothic, a little bit glam, Brosnahan was a shimmering vision in doll-like Dolce & Gabbana.

A tiger-striped tuxedo isn’t for the fainthearted, so we loved when Brosnahan made the daring choice to wear this Prabal Gurung pre-Fall 2019 look on the talk show host’s couch.

Showcasing her new fiery locks, the actress chose an asymmetrical navy midi dress with intricate embroidery, and leg-lengthening nude pumps, to compliment her vivid hair change.

Brosnahan appeared on Broadway for the first time in 2013, when she made her debut in The Big Knife. For one of her earliest red carpet appearances, the fresh-faced thespian opted for a planet-printed maxi wrap dress with a skinny waist belt to complete the look.
