BRONCOS (+4.5) over Patriots

The Broncos will have their backs against the wall in this one, but getting five points at home with a strong defense is too good a price to pass up.

We’re going to bank on offensive guru Sean Payton finding a way to design a serviceable offense for Jarrett Stidham, who posted OK performances at the end of the 2023 season while replacing Russell Wilson.

The Broncs are going to have to win this game with their defense, and that unit should keep this one close, especially with a feverish crowd.

The Patriots have benefitted from an easy schedule this year, and playing on the road against a strong defense that can rush the passer effectively may provide some challenges.

Houston kept last week’s game close despite C.J. Stroud’s ineffectiveness due to a lethal pass rush.

Getting more than a field goal here with a live underdog seems like the play in the AFC Championship game.

Rams (+2.5) over SEAHAWKS

We took the 49ers last week, and that blew up on us faster than the Phillies’ plans for Bo Bichette.

Well, we’re going to pick against the Seahawks again.

We’ve believed the Rams are the best team in the NFC for quite some time now, so to bet against them here seems like it would be foolish.

Betting on the NFL?

These teams split two very close games that were decided by three total points, with the Seahawks beating the Rams by one point in double overtime in the latest clash.

We’re going to back the team with the more experienced roster in the Rams, while also fading Sam Darnold in what we expect will be a much more competitive game than last weekend.

Darnold did not have to do much vs. the 49ers, but that won’t be the case this Sunday.

Last week: 1-1; Bears (W); 49ers (L)
Postseason: 2-2
Regular season: 14-19-3
