The Rangers are acquiring a veteran forward from one of their rivals.

The Blueshirts announced Monday they traded for Reilly Smith, sending the Penguins a 2025 conditional fifth-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick for the veteran winger.

Pittsburgh is retaining 25 percent ($1.25 million) of Reilly’s $5 million cap hit for next season, the final year of his contract.

Smith, 33, had 13 goals and 27 assists in 76 games for the Penguins last season.

The Penguins acquired Smith last summer from Vegas after he won a Stanley Cup with the Golden Knights.
