The Ravens are bolstering their offensive line.
Former Browns center Ethan Pocic signed a one-year deal with Baltimore, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday.
His contract has a maximum value of $4.5 million, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Pocic comes to Baltimore with a chance to replace ex-Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum, who signed a record-breaking three-year, $81 million deal with the Raiders in March.
Pocic now becomes the frontrunner to become the Ravens’ starting center this season, but will receive challenges from Danny Pinter, Jovaughn Gwyn and Corey Bullock come training camp.
The 30-year-old is the most proven player of the bunch as he enters his 10th NFL season.
Drafted by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Pocic has spent the past four seasons in Cleveland, starting 57 games for the Browns since arriving there before the 2022 season.
He played in 13 games for the Browns this past season before suffering a season-ending Achilles tear in Week 13.
Despite the injury, Pocic was cleared this summer to participate in training camp, and is “full go,” a source told Schefter.
After a mediocre 2025 season which saw the Ravens take home an 8-9 record, Baltimore is looking to retool for 2026 under new head coach Jesse Minter.
In addition to Pocic’s deal, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said he would like to get an extension done with two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers.
“I love Zay. Zay wants to be here. We want Zay here,” DeCosta said in an interview on 105.7 The Fan. “He’s got a great agent in Joel Segal and Geoff Garmhausen. Those guys are really good agents. We’ve had good conversations. [Vice President of Football Operations] Nick Matteo does a phenomenal job negotiating. Certainly a work in progress; optimistic about it. I feel like at some point it gets done.
“We love Zay. Zay is a phenomenal football player and his energy is infectious. I expect him to have a great year.”
