The hot stove is heating up — and two former high-level prospects have been traded for one another.

Jonathan India, the 2021 National League Rookie of the Year, is heading to the Royals in a trade with the Reds, who will be acquiring pitcher Brady Singer, the teams announced.

Outfielder Joey Wiemer is also heading to Kansas City in the deal.

India, who turns 28 next month, spent four seasons with the Reds and now has the chance to form a fearsome middle infield with AL MVP runner-up Bobby Witt Jr.

Over the course of his career, he has amassed 63 home runs and 229 RBIs with a .253 batting average and a .764 OPS.

Last season, the second baseman recorded 132 base hits, 15 homers and 58 RBIs while hitting .248.

Singer started 32 games on the mound for the Royals, posting a 3.71 ERA and striking out a personal-best 170 hitters across a career-high 179 2/3 innings.

Singer, 28, will be entering his sixth season in the Majors.

Weimer, a 25-year-old center fielder, had 28 plate appearances last year.

In his lone full season, 2023, he had 13 homers and 42 RBIs while recording a .645 OPS with the Brewers.
