If it seems like only yesterday that the Seahawks and Cardinals met, it was … almost.
The two teams vying for first place in the NFC West, who play each other Sunday in Glendale, Ariz., met on Nov. 24 in Seattle, where the Seahawks prevailed, 16-6.
That makes Sunday’s showdown even more pivotal, because Seattle, at 7-5 after last Sunday’s win over the Jets, has a one-game lead on Arizona, which is 6-6 after losing to the Vikings last week.
A Seahawks victory would essentially give them a three-game edge on the Cardinals based on a sweep of the season series.
