As October draws to a close, so too will the doors of Stop & Shops stores in five states come November.

The grocer first announced the closure of 32 “underperforming” stores in July, saying shuttering the nearly three dozen Northeastern locations will “position the company for growth.” Shutting down on a rolling basis, all of the stores will be closed on or before Saturday, Nov. 2.

“Stop & Shop is proud of the deep roots and community ties we have developed as a neighborhood grocer of more than 100 years, and we remain committed to nourishing our associates, customers and communities,” Stop & Shop President, Gordon Reid, said in a July press release. “Stop & Shop has evaluated its overall store portfolio and made the difficult decision to close underperforming stores to create a healthy base for the future growth of our brand.”

The grocery chain, which is owned by Ahold Delhaize USA Company, will continue to operate 350 locations across five states. The closure announcement said that employees of the impacted stores will be offered positions elsewhere in the company.

“Our associates are a strong community dedicated to growing and working together, and all of our store associates will continue to have a place in the Stop & Shop family as we look forward to serving customers at other nearby locations,” added Reid.

Stop & Shop did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Here is what to know about the closing locations.

After the closures, Stop & Shop will still operate 81 stores in Connecticut, 115 in Massachusetts, 47 in New Jersey, 91 in New York and 25 in Rhode Island, employing over 50,000 associates.

According to local reports, one location in Newton, Massachusetts closed in August with the rest in the state closing on Thursday. The Shrewsbury and Worcester stores will donate leftover items to the Worcester County Food Bank, reported the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, part of the USA TODAY Network.

In Rhode Island, the Eastside Marketplace in Providence will shutter Friday, while the location in Johnston will close Thursday afternoon, local outlet WPRI reported.

Connecticut’s impacted locations are all slated to close on Halloween, according to Connecticut Insider, while more information on the New Jersey and New York stores was not available beyond the closure deadline of Nov. 2
