Shannon Beador isn’t ready to date just yet, but she did toy with the idea of becoming the first Golden Bachelorette.

“We have some producers who work for the Bachelor franchise, and I said, ‘What about me being the Golden Bachelorette?’” Beador, 60, recalled during the Thursday, October 31, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star noted that she knew The Golden Bachelorette team would “use somebody from the past” franchise, but she still “kind of put it out there.”

While Beador was passed over for the lead — Joan Vassos is the first Golden Bachelorette — the idea sparked interest from Bravo producer Andy Cohen.

“Andy called me and said, ‘We have an interesting idea,’” Beador continued, adding that Cohen, 56, and the Bravo team then asked her to join The Love Hotel.

In July, Peacock announced The Love Hotel , an upcoming spinoff of the Real Housewives franchise that focuses on singles who are searching for their forever partner. The show —filmed in September in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico — will star Beador and fellow single Housewives Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby and Luann de Lesseps.

“I kind of am a golden bachelorette on The Love Hotel,” Beador said on Thursday, noting, “I was the oldest.”

She teased that the show is “really good,” adding that viewers get a “story” with every episode since the stars are “single for a reason” and have “triggers.”

Beador insisted that she’s not ready for love after her split from boyfriend John Janssen but hinted that she might’ve connected with someone on the show. (Shannon was married to David Beador from 2000 to 2017. The exes share three daughters. Shannon dated Janssen from 2019 to 2023, he has since moved on with RHOC’s Alexis Bellino.)

“I did meet people on the show, and I’ll just leave it at that,” Shannon told host Nick Viall. She later confessed, “I don’t know that I’m even ready for a relationship right now. I want to have fun.”

As fans wait to see what goes down on The Love Hotel, Shannon is happy with where her life is now.

“With this new show we film our interview confessionals in New York. Two of my three daughters live in New York City, so I’m having fun,” she explained. “I met a lot of new people on the show The Love Hotel. We’re all going to be friends for life.”
