A dark-money backed group funded by lefty kingmakers George Soros and his son Alex helped propel a record number of Democratic doctors and scientists into Congress, where they are expected to inject woke, identity-driven, leftist ideology into the nation’s health agenda next year.

Many of the 19 lawmakers voted in this week built careers on topics such as race, DEI, climate change and gun control as their No. 1 target.

The ideological army includes Dr. Annie Andrews (D-S.C.), a first-time politician whose campaign was considered a long shot before she won the Senate seat long held by the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, defeating his sister and successor, Sen. Darline Graham.

Andrews, 46, a pediatrician, has voiced her support for puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for minors, proclaiming last year “gender affirming care isn’t child abuse” — and her 63 research papers includes a slew of political and identity-themed studies.

Even though her clinical specialty is asthma and that was the focus of her initial body of research, she took a decidedly woke turn around 2020, since then authoring nines studies on firearms alone, including a 2020 paper entitled “Pediatric Hospitalists at the Front Line of Gun Violence” that promoted responsible weapons storage

She also co-authored “Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Utilization of Tonsillectomy among Medicaid-Insured Children” in the Journal of Pediatrics in 2022, where she argued for developing “culturally appropriate interventions.”

In 2024, she penned an op-ed in JAMA titled “It is time to get political for children,” stating she was taking “a hard pivot into politics” for “the sick and injured kids I care for” because of gun safety, gender-affirming care and vaccines.

Richard Pan (D-Calif.), a pediatrician who won on his first bid for federal office, recruited Sacramento parents in 2015 to launch “Vaccinate California,” a campaign to ban personal-belief exemptions for school vaccine requirements. The measure became state law that year.

His research includes pro-DEI papers such as “Enhancing the Racial and Ethnic Diversity of the Pediatric Workforce” and “Nondiscrimination in Pediatric Health Care.”

Others include Jamie Ager (D-N.C.), who flipped a House seat in the Tar Heel State and has been touted as an “environmental scientist” even though his only science credential is an undergraduate degree in environmental studies and history from Warren Wilson College, a liberal arts school in North Carolina.

Terror-linked, Egyptian-born Dr. Adam Hamawy, a New Jersey plastic surgeon who volunteered in Gaza and won his House race, has faced scrutiny over his past ties to Islamic extremists.

Hamawy, 57, has been accused by the Investigative Project on Terrorism of lying under oath as a defense witness for “the Blind Sheikh” — the man behind the World Trade Center bombing in 1993 — whom he accompanied on a 1991 road trip to an Islamic conference in Detroit. He was never charged with perjury.

He also volunteered in Bosnia with a Chicago-based nonprofit whose offices were raided by the government in 2002 after it was determined to be a front for al-Qaeda — and has continued to dodge questions about his past associations with Islamist extremists.

Meanwhile as a doctor at home, he’s been described as a “creep” in reviews and sued for leaving a patient injured after a botched neck lift, according to a 2017 lawsuit.

Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed (D-Mich.), who calls himself a physician even though he never completed his medical school residency and has never held a medical license, has his own share of race-obsessed medical research.

His papers include Columbia University research slammed as “eugenics” suggested Arab women should only breed with their own kind for optimal health outcomes.

The Post previously reported El-Sayed, 42 — whose medical degree was funded by a grant from the Soros family for new Americans — exploited identity politics in academia to fast-track and fund his journey to Congress.

“This is just the left trying to capitalize on their complete occupation and control of higher education and academia,” Theo Wold, former White House deputy assistant for domestic policy under Trump, told The Post.

“They want to use scientific credentials to hoodwink voters into trusting so-called scientific expertise that is just leftist ideology with a veneer of STEM terminology.”

The political action committee 3.14 Action says its mission is to “identify STEM leaders who would make strong candidates, recruit them to run for office and provide game-changing support.” It doubled its investment these midterms, spending $23 million on the candidates.

Its legislative priorities include abortion, climate change and gun violence.

The group has made no secret of its aversion to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his Make America Healthy Again movement — dubbing him their “number one villain.”

Democrats’ newly won House majority arms them with the power to subpoena witnesses for congressional investigations, which these newly elected candidates have made clear they intend to use against the MAHA leader.

Pan, 61, previously told reporters that grilling RFK Jr. under oath was one of his motivations for running for Congress. El-Sayed has already vowed to probe the Kennedy scion, while Andrews has pledged to impeach and remove him from office.

“RFK Jr. has been my professional archnemesis for decades, and there are thousands of pediatricians across the country who would say the same thing,” she blasted.

Far-left billionaires Alex and George Soros’ Open Society Action Fund gave $34.4 million to Our American Future Action in 2024, which contributed $9 million to House Majority Forward, which in turn donated $2.5 million to 3.14 Action, according to donation records.

The PAC grooms candidates from start to finish, not only recruiting woke scientists, but giving them training, staff support, polling, strategic guidance and money, according to 3.14’s website.

It produced more than 2,300 ads, which aired hundreds of thousands of times in October alone, with many promoting the candidates’ healthcare background, a Washington Post analysis found.

RFK Jr. did not return The Post’s request for comment.
