South Carolina U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace will headline the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition’s spring kickoff event on April 12, the organization announced Tuesday.
Mace has been among the Republican Party’s most vocal critics of policies aimed at supporting transgender Americans, leading a fight in the U.S. House of Representatives to bar her colleague Rep. Sarah McBride, D-Delaware, the first openly transgender person to be elected to Congress, from using the women’s restroom at the Capitol.
She recently drew attention for delivering a graphic speech from the floor of the House accusing her former fiancé and three other men of drugging and raping her and other women while filming and photographing them without their consent.

Mace previously said she is “seriously considering” a gubernatorial run in 2026.
Other featured speakers include former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron and Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley.
Cameron, a protégé of former Senate majority leader and U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell, challenged Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear in 2023 for Kentucky governor but lost 52.5% to 47.5%.

The event is scheduled for 5 p.m. April 12 at the Horizon Events Center in Clive. Ticket prices begin at $60 per person or $100 per couple.
The Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition often hosts prominent Republican conservatives at its events, particularly in the run-up to the Iowa Caucuses.
