Jenelle Evans has reacted to ex David Eason’s new romance with girlfriend Madi B.
“I’m happy my ex husband has moved on,” the Teen Mom alum, 34, exclusively told Us in a Friday, October 2, statement. “But I wish it was to someone that I could actually introduce to my daughter one day but I don’t see that happening.”
Jenelle shared her reservations about Madi B after being “warned” about her previous employment.
“People all over NC warned me about her and I don’t agree with her job of escorting,” Evans alleged. “My kids have heard of this girl from having TikTok and my daughter’s heart is broken. Hopefully he saves the beer money for child support.”
Jenelle also claimed that David, 38, has “not asked” about their daughter, Ensley, but has been in touch with her.
“David has also not asked about Ensley since leaving Florida, but he texted my daughter and apologized for how he treated her the day of our argument,” she alleged.
Madi B addressed Jenelle’s worries in a statement to Us.
“Maybe someday in the future we can talk about my past. As for now my only comment is that I’m currently a pre-nursing student, and I recently got a second bartending job,” Madi B said. “I understand people may have opinions about who I was or choices I’ve made, but none of that defines me. I’m proud of the direction my life is taking, and I’ll continue moving through it with grace, determination, and faith. Everything I’m not made me everything I am.”
David also addressed Jenelle’s statement telling Us, “Madi is too smart to let the public drama get in her way. She has goals and ambitions that are far more deserving of her time than someone’s opinions or rumors. People talk just to be heard, not because there is any significance to what they say.”
Jenelle and David tied the knot in 2017 after two years of dating. The pair welcomed daughter Ensley that same year. (Jenelle is also mother to son Jace, 17, whom she welcomed with ex Andrew Lewis and son Kaiser whom she shares with ex Nathan Griffith.)
In 2019, Jenelle and David temporarily separated but ultimately reconciled. The pair ended things for good in 2024 when Jenelle filed for divorce.
Jenelle’s reaction to David’s new relationship comes one day after he confirmed his and Madi B’s romance to Us.
“Madison and I have been acquainted for a few years, but we never had the chance to get close,” David exclusively told Us on Thursday, October 1. “In the past, we always locked eyes every time we saw each other in public. It was just bad timing until now.”
He continued, “I’m so glad I met her, and she treats me better than I could’ve ever imagined.”
David and Madi B sparked romance rumors last month when he shared a photo with Madi online. However, David initially downplayed their connection.
“Just friends BTW,” he wrote via Facebook on Sunday, September 27, while posing with Madi B on a boat in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Days later, Madi B raised eyebrows when she posted a video of her and David kissing.
“Friendships evolve, right,” she wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, September 29.
