Tennessee basketball stuffed UT Martin into the history books Wednesday.
The No. 6 Vols (7-0) allowed the fewest points in Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center history in their 78-35 win against UT Martin (2-5).
The air-tight defense − and Felix Okpara’s best game of the season − was more than enough for the Vols to stay unbeaten heading into a three-game stretch against power-conference opponents. Okpara had 10 points, a season-high 11 rebounds and four blocks. Zakai Zeigler tallied 10 points and nine assists. Igor Milicic Jr. had nine points and 13 rebounds.
The Vols host Syracuse in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Dec. 3 before playing against Miami in New York City on Dec. 10 and at Illinois on Dec. 14.
