Awards season may just be getting started, but the 30th Critics Choice Awards will be here before you know it. The annual star-studded ceremony recognizes “the finest in cinematic and television achievement.” It is said to historically be the most accurate predictor of Academy Award nominations, so all eyes will be on the CCAs come January.
Of course it’s still too early to know who this year’s nominees will be (Wicked isn’t even out yet for goodness sake), but the awards show honors the best movies and TV shows of the year prior, so you might have already seen quite a few of the 2025 nominees.
After several years on The CW, the CCAs are moving networks for their 30th anniversary, heading over to E! Network instead.

Who are the 2025 Critics Choice Awards nominees?
We don’t yet know who the nominees are for the 2025 Critics Choice Awards. The CCA TV nominations will be announced on Dec. 5, 2024 with the CCA Film nominations coming the following week on Dec. 12, 2024. Then the winners will be announced live at the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards on Jan. 12, 2025.

When will the 2025 Critics Choice Awards nominees be announced?
The 2025 CCA nominees will be announced in two batches. The TV nominations will be announced at 9:00 a.m. PT on Dec. 5, 2024 with the film nominations announced a week later at 9:00 a.m. PT on Dec. 12, 2024.

The ceremony is taking place Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025.

The 2025 Critics Choice Awards will air live on E! on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025 from 7-10 p.m. ET. Additionally E! will air a one-hour red carpet pre-show from 6-7 p.m. ET.

How to watch the 2025 Critics Choice Awards
The 30th annual Critics Choice Awards will air live on E! on Sunday, Jan 12, 2025 from 7-10 p.m. ET. You’ll be able to watch on cable or on Peacock if you have a live TV subscription. The awards show will also be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
Who is hosting the 2025 Critics Choice Awards?
Chelsea Handler is returning for the third year in a row to host the 2025 show.
“Returning for the third year to host the Critics Choice Awards has been made even sweeter knowing it will now air on E!,” said Chelsea Handler a press release announcing the new network. “I feel like I’m returning to my birthplace.”
Last year Handler said of hosting, “There is no greater reward than making fun of actors and then getting drunk with them afterward. It’s an honor.”
Who is presenting at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards?
No presenters for 2025 have been announced yet. They are usually not announced until the weeks before the event.
Is anyone being honored at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards?
In 2024, Harrison Ford was honored with the Career Achievement Award while America Ferrera was given the SeeHer Award. The recipients of the 2025 versions of those awards have yet to be announced.
