Did you go out and buy a lotto ticket this past week in the hopes of winning more than a billion dollars? Yeah, you and everyone else. It isn’t any fun to lose, is it?
Wouldn’t it be great to win just once? It doesn’t even have to be a billion. We would settle for a few hundred mill. Too much? Can we get just a million or two? No? Fine, how about a season-changing fantasy waiver claim? That’s doable? Great.
Some seasons have a blockbuster waiver claim who turns into a title-maker. In some recent years, those types of pickups have included Puka Nacua, Kyren Williams, Chuba Hubbard, Cooper Kupp … and why are so many of these guys Rams?
It doesn’t happen every year, but it happens often enough that it is a realistic hope, unlike, say, a billion-dollar lottery ticket.
