Miley Cyrus is in her bridal era.

On Monday, Dec. 1, the singer, 33, was rocking a new sparkler at the Avatar: Fire and Ash world premiere in Los Angeles, which she attended alongside Maxx Morando. On Dec. 2, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the lovebirds are engaged.

Francesca Simons of Francesca Simons Consulting, a rep for jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche, confirmed to PEOPLE that Aiche made the “bespoke” ring, which features a cushion-cut stone set on a thick, 14-karat yellow gold band.

Blue Nile’s VP of merchandising, Daniela Tarantino, estimates that the ring could be worth up to $450,000.

“This engagement ring is a chunky gold east-west bezel set ring – a modern and chic trend we are seeing in the bridal industry,” Tarantino said in a press email. “We believe the ring is roughly a 4-5 carat modified cushion that costs around $300,000 to $450,000.”

After fans had mixed opinions about the gray cardigan that Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) puts on before her love scene with Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) in Wicked: For Good, the film’s Oscar-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell shed light on why he chose the now-viral article of clothing.

“It came out of very literally an organic decision of what does Elphaba have access to,” Tazewell explained in a recent interview with NPR. “And living alone, what choice would she make when she’s looking for a robe, some way to be protective and warm?”

“It’s operating as her robe for that moment,” he continued. “She’s got a loom in her treehouse, where she’s weaving her own clothing. She’s manifesting all these things from the elements that are around her, and the sweater is just in keeping with that.”

Erivo also commented on the cardigan.

At Elphaba’s Wicked Retreat Airbnb Originals Experience in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Dec. 3, Erivo explained that Elphaba’s wardrobe helped reveal a more vulnerable side of the character.

“I just wanted to present an opportunity to see this character who everybody at this point has seen as this strong fighting woman, who is the wicked witch, as someone who could actually be on her own,” the star said. “I just wanted something that removed the armor for a second and yes, shows you a more sensual, more connected side of her.”

Hairiest Drama: Sydney Sweeney’s Hairstylist Fires Back at Critic

Sydney Sweeney’s hairstylist has her back.

Following the 28-year-old actress’ Monday, Dec. 1, appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, internet personality Blakely Thornton criticized her look, claiming it reflected MAGA ideologies and calling her hairstyle “the stiffest wig,” among other things.

Hours later, Thornton shared another Reel, which included a screenshot of an alleged comment exchange between himself and Sweeney’s hairstylist Glen “Coco” Oropeza. “It’s 11pm and I’m feeling petty,” Thornton captioned the post. The comment exchange appears to have been deleted, but the two got into it.

“Wasn’t a wig but you can’t get my girl’s name out of your mouth,” Oropeza’s account allegedly commented in part, according to the screenshots Thornton shared. “You’re obsessed.”

Thornton is seen in another screenshot having replied to Oropeza’s comments, writing, “I hope you get paid overtime for being a sycophant after 9pm PST. If so I can sign your timesheet. And you’re right, Black people are tired … very much so … good luck on the rest of the press tour.”

Gillian Anderson’s vulva-covered gown will live on in infamy.

The Sex Education actress, 57, revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she duplicated the dress she wore to the 2024 Golden Globes that featured several (several hundred, that is) motifs of the female reproductive organ.

Anderson, whose attention-getting dress was custom-designed by Gabriela Hearst, explained to Jimmy Kimmel that the gown was unconventionally replicated for her wax figure at Madame Tussauds London.

“It’s a dress that Gabriela Hearst made for me to wear to the Golden Globes, and it has hundreds of vulvas,” she explained of the dress that was recreated for the lifelike, three-dimensional sculpture that stands in the U.K. wax museum.

“Many, many artisans took many hours to create those vulvas on my dress,” she told Kimmel. “The actual dress was a piece of couture, and the same woman who created it created a second one to live at Madame Tussauds.”
