Abdul Carter’s alarm clock is sounding a little earlier this week.
Carter has been in the Giants facility by 7:30 a.m., according to interim head coach Mike Kafka, as he tries to move past an embarrassing string of missed meetings and walk-throughs that led to benchings at the start of two of the past three games.
That arrival time is at least an hour earlier than the first meeting was scheduled during each of the first three days of preparation for Sunday’s game against the Commanders.
“I’m just trying to be a better teammate,” Carter told The Post. “Obviously, I’ve made some mistakes that were critical for the team, but I’m just trying to be a better pro. If I keep doing the same things over and over again, I’m going to get the same results, so I’m just trying to come up with different things to be a better teammate.”
