The Nanny’s Fran Drescher Reprises Leopard Print Dress During Walk of Fame Ceremony

That flashy girl from Flushing just got her star! Fran Drescher channeled her beloved character, Fran Fine, from The Nanny in a fierce leopard print frock to celebrate her 2025 Walk of Fame honor.

The actress, 68, wowed in a figure-hugging dress featuring a flattering, structured sweetheart neckline and three-quarter sleeves, giving the style a chic and modern twist during her highly anticipated ceremony on Tuesday, September 30, also opting for matching pointed-toe pumps.

Drescher completed her fashionable look with voluminous waves, a delicate silver necklace and a bold swipe of classic red lipstick — one of her many beauty staples.

Fran Fine’s style on The Nanny was known for being iconic and unapologetically glamorous, with a vibrant mix of 1990s trends and over-the-top flair that included miniskirts, crop tops, loud prints and bright colors in addition to a variety of designer labels. She would often dress to the nines and go all out with accessories, enhancing her outfits with chunky belts, tights, headbands and tall heels.

The hit sitcom, which ran from 1993 to 1999, was cocreated and coproduced by Drescher and her ex-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson. Drescher, for her part, was nominated for two Golden Globes and two Emmy Awards for her work.

It was an extra special occasion as the ceremony also marked Drescher’s 68th birthday. The brunette bombshell was joined by her former costars Nicholle Tom, who portrayed Margaret “Maggie” Sheffield, and Madeline Zima, who played Gracie Sheffield, on the popular show.

“Fran Drescher is not just a household name — she is the household,” Zima, 40, gushed at the event. “She’s the glamorous aunt, the no-nonsense mom, the best friend who tells you when your outfit needs a little more leopard print, and the neighbor whose laugh you can hear through the drywall.”

“When The Nanny first hit our screens in the ’90s, she didn’t just change television; she redecorated it,” Zima proudly went on. “Suddenly, the working-class Jewish women from Queens, they weren’t side characters anymore. They were the stars. They were smart. They were sexy. They were hilarious — and they wore Bob Mackie.”

Tom, 47, sang her praises as well, gushing, “Fran, I love you. I’ve always looked up to you, even though I had to wear flats,” she joked. “You are my mentor and I just love you. Congratulations!”

The trio posed for photos on the red carpet and Drescher also gave her own remarks. “The things you hear about Hollywood is all true. It’s the land of dreams, but staying grounded and authentic is imperative,” she shared while giving a word of advice to industry hopefuls. “Keeping old friends with you, close to you, and never forgetting where you came from is essential.”

Drescher also highlighted that learning to love yourself, “regardless of rejection or praise,” is essential with a career in the limelight.

She added, “We are very imperfect beings, learning and growing along the way through all the pitfalls and mistakes made. To do it right, we must make kindness and compassion our compass.”
