Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner cheered on the New York Knicks’ historic victory from courtside at Rocket Arena in Cleveland.
The couple both wore blue-and-orange Knicks T-shirts as they watched the team punch their tickets to the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years with a 130-90 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Knicks wiped out the Cavs with four straight wins in the Eastern Conference Finals and will now face either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals.
The NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals games had some seriously star-studded crowds this month, as Taylor Swift and her fiancé, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, were in attendance at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday, May 23, to cheer on the Cavs.
Chalamet, 30, and Jenner, 28, have made several appearances courtside at Knicks games this season because the Dune actor is a lifelong fan of the NBA franchise.
“One of my first games, I was 10 years old, was the Denver Nuggets vs. the New York Knicks,” Chalamet revealed on the “7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony” podcast in December 2025. “If you look at the footage … I snuck down with my buddy. We’re on the tunnel exit and you can see the players. You can see a little kid going nuts on the players! That was me! That was a crazy game to be at.”
The 2008 game between the Knicks and Nuggets at New York City’s Madison Square Garden is infamous for a flagrant foul between Knicks guard Mardy Collins and Nuggets guard J. R. Smith that exploded into an all-out brawl between both teams. All ten players on the court were ejected from the game and seven suspensions were ultimately handed out by the NBA.
Meanwhile, Chalamet’s dedication to the Knicks is so strong that he skipped attending the Met Gala with Jenner on May 4 to sit courtside at MSG as his team beat the Philadelphia 76ers, 137-98.
Jenner has always supported her boyfriend’s NBA fandom, even commenting “daddy” on a social media video of him entering Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, May 19, with a new haircut and mustache to see the Knicks clash with the Cavaliers.
Earlier this year, a source exclusively revealed to Us Weekly that Chalamet and Jenner are “very serious and have talked about getting engaged this year.”
“Kylie definitely runs the show, and Timothée loves it,” the insider added. “It is a great balance between both of their personalities, and it works.”
Chalamet and Jenner first started dating in early 2023 but they largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight until relatively recently. The duo stepped together for a series of red carpet appearances this year, including attending the 31st annual Critics’ Choice Awards in January and the 98th annual Academy Awards in March.
