Some of Us spent a lot of time listening to Jason and Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast in 2024 so you didn’t have to — and there are still a few moments living rent-free in our heads.

Since Travis’ opened up about trying to shoot his shot with now-girlfriend Taylor Swift at one of her Eras Tour concerts in July 2023, “New Heights” has been in the permanent rotation of Us’ favorite podcasts. When the cohosts aren’t answering “No Dumb Questions” about football, they’re bringing fans into their personal lives with childhood stories, pop culture takes and unfiltered relationship advice. (And yes, there are still plenty of shout-outs to Swift, though they’ve gotten more subtle in recent months.)

The podcast has found a new audience amid Travis’ relationship with Swift, but the Kelces don’t mind the shift. “I think, you know, we wanna be careful to really stay loyal to the people who have tuned in from day one. We know that a lot of the guys tuning in — and women tuning in — are diehard football fans and they want that content,” Jason explained during a panel at the Cannes Lions Festival in June 2024.

Jason said that he and Travis now have more “freedom” to discuss topics outside of the NFL. “We talk about our lives,” he continued. “But now, it’s really expanding.”

Keep scrolling for some of the most memorable — and sometimes unhinged — “New Heights” moments from 2024:

10. Jason’s No-Cat Strategy

Jason’s anti-cat agenda was initially revealed by fan-favorite podcast guest Kylie Kelce in December 2023, but his stance grew even more firm over the last 12 months. “It’s not gonna happen,” Jason insisted on a January 2024 episode after Kylie declared via social media that she wouldn’t be “asking for permission” to get a family cat. (More on the origin of that phrase later.)

“The kids are gonna want it up in their bedroom. There’s gonna be cat stuff all over the place,” he continued.

Jason joked that he “immediately” searched “how to lose a cat” on the internet after seeing Kylie’s comment. “The only thing that came up was like, ‘Oh, are you sad you just lost a cat?’ I’m like, ‘No, I need to lose a cat,’” he continued. Egging his brother on, Travis suggested fans send in their suggestions for cat names in case Kylie got her way.

The bit continued in September 2024 when Jason revealed he’s been telling his daughters a little white lie. “I just keep telling our girls that cats are poisonous,” he explained. “So that they don’t have cats and I don’t have to deal with a cat. … It’s fine, I think lying to your kids is important.”

9. Kylie Disses Jason’s Super Bowl Dance Moves

It’s possible Jason had more fun than anyone while celebrating the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory in Las Vegas in February 2024 — luchador mask and all. During the first episode back after Travis’ big win, the siblings poked fun at videos of Jason dancing that went viral. They went on to ask for Kylie’s opinion on the footage, and she didn’t hold back.

“I was not surprised,” she said before Travis asked if “proud” was a better way of describing how she felt. “Am I surprised that you fully committed to wearing a frickin’ Nacho Libre, Kansas City-style mask for the entire afterparty? No.”

When Kylie suggested that Jason cycled through his only “three dance moves,” the former Eagles center fired back, “Have you ever seen my belly take over? The chunk?”

8. Taylor’s Reaction to Shirtless Jason

Before clinching another Super Bowl trophy, the Chiefs played the Buffalo Bills in January 2024, marking the first time Jason and Kylie were spotted at a game with Swift. Jason made a memorable impression on his brother’s girlfriend — and on all of Us — by taking his shirt off in the VIP suite and jumping out a window into the freezing cold.

According to Travis, the pop star “absolutely loved” watching Jason’s antics. Kylie, however, was less impressed by her husband’s behavior.

“I don’t think [Kylie] was happy about it, to be honest with you,” Jason teased during a January podcast episode. “The moment we got into the suite, I said, ‘I’m taking my shirt off and I’m jumping out of the suite.’ And she said, ‘Jason, don’t you dare.’ I’m not asking for permission, I’m doing this. … This is part of the Jason Kelce charm.”

7. Jason vs. Secretariat

If there’s one thing Us loves, it’s an unexpected feud — and Jason’s beef with an iconic racehorse was anything but expected. During a May 2024 episode of the podcast, Jason claimed, “Secretariat was juiced to the gills,” later sharing more insight into his hot take via social media.

Admitting he didn’t know whether the horse really used steroids while it was racing in the 1970s, Jason wrote, “The fact this horse had unparalleled muscular stature and died with an enlarged heart and raced at a time when steroids were extremely prevalent without adequate testing, raises flags in my book. … The enlarged heart in my mind is actually more evidence that at some point the horse was being juiced.”

He continued, “The horse was undoubtedly born with incredible natural mechanics and ability, and may have been natural, but I also think that it’s unlikely given the time it raced and what was happening with a lot of those horses and the lack of testing available.”

Jason issued an apology as his comments sparked backlash — but the family who owned Secretariat still wasn’t happy with “the grossly inaccurate speculation.” In a statement to Horse Racing Nation, the family insisted, “The fact is Secretariat was never given performance enhancing drugs.”

6. Travis Gets Emotional About Jason’s Retirement

Emotions ran high in the Kelce family when Jason announced his retirement from the NFL in March 2024 after 13 seasons. Travis was spotted tearing up during his brother’s press conference, and the waterworks didn’t stop when the pair spoke about the milestone on their podcast.

“You’ve always been a step ahead of me in this game … it’s always been like I’ve had that flotation device right there and to have you out of it, it feels empty,” Travis told his brother. “And it feels like it’s complete. It was a success. … I just appreciate you showing me the way and bringing us all along the journey with you.”

Jason was equally grateful for Travis’ impact, adding, “We showed each other the way. … I look forward to being able to appreciate and watch your games more and take in the bigger picture of football and everything it has to offer.”

5. Travis’ Love for Reality TV Is Exposed

While the Kelce brothers are obviously experts in their sports field — pun intended — some of the funniest moments come when the topic is as far from football as possible. In March 2024, Jason asked Travis if he’d seen any good TV shows lately, and the younger Kelce couldn’t have been happier to share his answer.

“Jason, you gotta watch Love Is Blind, man,” Travis said, taking the chance to poke fun at his own reality dating show. “It’s the worst trash ever. It is worse than Catching Kelce, but it is so f—ing good.”

Travis then launched into a spot-on impression of season 6’s Chelsea Blackwell asking now-ex Jimmy Presnell if he thought she was being “clingy,” which sadly did little to convince Jason to press play.

When it comes to The Traitors, however, the duo are more aligned. In September 2024, Jason raved over season 1 of the Peacock competition series, while Travis noted he skipped to season 2. Travis even claimed that his brother would “f—ing crush it” on the show. The pair arranged to try their hand at a friendly game of Mafia over Thanksgiving weekend in Kansas City, which Us naturally hasn’t stopped thinking about since.

4. ‘New Heights’ Live Takes Over Cincinnati

Jason and Travis revisited their alma mater in April 2024 to host the first-ever Lombaby Games and host a live podcast taping at the University of Cincinnati — and the result was just as chaotic as 92%ers hoped it would be. Students were put to the test in a series of physical challenges (one of which included diving into inflatable pools of Skyline Chili, which caused Jason to lose his 2018 Super Bowl ring). There was a T-shirt cannon firing off Subway sandwiches, a “squirrel” spelling bee and a playlist full of Swift songs. (You already know Travis had the arena blasting 1989 hits.)

3. Jason Finally Goes to the ‘Eras Tour’ — And Travis Goes on Stage

More than a year into her tour, which began in March 2023, Jason finally got to witness Swift perform when she brought the Eras Tour to London. “It was insanely impressive. … Dude, if I did what she did for one song, I would have to change my clothes,” he told Travis during a June 2024 episode.

Jason said he had an “awesome experience” at the Wembley Stadium show, adding that the Swifites made the concert even more “memorable.” The “22” hat exchange during the Red set was one of his favorite parts of the concert. “Dude, I’ve never cried at a f—-ing concert and I was literally tearing up watching those little girls,” he said.

Along with Jason’s first Eras show, the London concerts included an appearance from Prince William and two of his kids and a surprise cameo from Travis during the Tortured Poets Department set. “It’s very unlike me. I’m not big, I don’t like going on stages. There were a lot of people out there, really didn’t feel at home,” he said of how they pulled off the performance. “I initially mentioned to Tay, I was like, ‘How funny would it be if I just rolled out on one of the bikes during the 1989 [section]?’ She started laughing, she was like, ‘Would you seriously be up for doing something like that?’ I was like, ‘What? I would love to do that, are you kidding me?’”

Travis only had one thing on his mind as he carried Swift across the stage. “The golden rule was, ‘Do not drop Taylor. Get her to the couch safely,’” he teased.

2. The ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ Review

This year, the Kelces began producing exclusive bonus content for Wondery+ subscribers — and they didn’t disappoint. For their first installment of the “New Heights” film club, the pair took suggestions from fans on what movie to review, reluctantly landing on The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. “I was out after it said ‘sisterhood,’ and got even more out when it said ‘of the traveling pants,’” Jason initially joked in October 2024. “There’s multiple things I’m not interested in about this movie in just the title alone.”

Jason blamed Swifties for the onslaught of “chick flicks” that were recommended — Swift’s BFF Blake Lively stars in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants — and wondered whether the entire “premise of the movie” was just “hand-me-downs.”

When they finally gave their full review, Jason came around to the 2005 movie, but he wanted more from the pants. “I didn’t feel like they did a damn thing … and then Kylie’s like, ‘You idiot, it’s a symbol that their friends are always with them,’” he said. “And I was like, ‘Oh, OK. That makes sense.’”

Another oddly specific critique? Lively’s running. “She has good endurance, though,” Travis joked. “Because running like that and to be talking? I would be f—ing gassed and would be way worse at trying to spit my lines out if I was running while talking.”

1. Travis and Jason Share Unserious Sex Tips

Along with movie reviews, Jason and Travis implemented a listener hotline in their bonus episodes, and holding back with their questions was the last thing fans did. In October 2024, the brothers opened the floor for relationship advice — not all of which was well-received.

One caller confessed that he and his wife were experiencing a dry spell in the bedroom, which Travis couldn’t have related to less. “I have no idea what that’s [like],” he joked before suggesting that the caller “try and be a little romantic.”

After Jason pointed out that women are “weird” and “don’t just always want to have sex,” he said that watching a movie starring your partner’s celebrity crush could be a surefire way to get things going. (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Jumanji was thrown out as an example, quickly becoming a running joke within the 92%er fandom.)

Travis eventually got more direct with his advice. “Try role play one night, you know, see if she’s up for that,” he said. “Go to Spencer’s and get some f—ing sex stuff, man, I don’t know.”

Kylie had plenty to say about her husband’s “dumbass” suggestions, but fans kept calling in for words of wisdom from Jason and Travis. One listener asked where to find “nice, available” men in Philadelphia, and Travis’ options were anything but conventional.

“You know, there’s a lot of guys at the delis. Go to the markets, go to a good sandwich spot,” he said in November 2024. “You’re gonna find somebody that’s doing well for themselves, getting themselves a good ol’ meal. … Go to birthday parties, go to weddings. Go to events. Get out of the f—ing house, that’s how you find ’em. Or you just go on Tinder and find your match like Jason did.”
