DES Moines, Iowa — President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn in Monday as the 47th President of the United States.
Members of Congress, former presidents, tech CEO’s and many Iowa Republicans gather in Washington DC for Trump’s inauguration.
Gov. Kim Reynolds joined by other governors called the inauguration “historic.” Notably, Gov. Reynolds is next to Gov. Ron DeSantis in one of the pictures. She endorsed Gov. DeSantis for President before the Iowa caucuses instead of Trump.
Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird is also in the US Capitol. She has been a staunch Trump supporter. The one Iowa leader who endorsed Trump before the Iowa caucuses and campaign multiple time on his behalf.
Speaker of the House Pat Grassley joined by his grandfather Sen. Chuck Grassley are both attending Trump’s inauguration. A spokesperson for the Iowa House GOP said a number of House Republicans are attending the inauguration.
