Visit St. Lucie is encouraging Treasure Coast residents to explore their community this summer by offering exclusive deals.

The tourism and marketing director for Visit St. Lucie, Charlotte Bireley, said the initiative aims to help new and existing residents discover hidden gems in the area.

“We have so many new residents to the area and we did this last year with the same mentality,” Bireley said. “We want our new residents and all residents really on the Treasure Coast to get out, discover what’s out there.”

The campaign, which has expanded from St. Lucie County to include Indian River and Martin counties, offers special discounts at local attractions and hotels. Bireley emphasized the importance of supporting the local economy through these staycations.

The regional director of sales and marketing for Ocean Properties, Steve Crist, highlighted some of the deals available.

“For our local residents, and again, this is the Treasure Coast only,” Crist said. “I want them to come visit the hotels.”

Residents can enjoy discounts on experiences such as horseback riding on the beach, buy-one-get-one-free admission to the Navy Seal Museum, and guided kayak tours through the mangroves in Fort Pierce. Martin County offers attractions like the Elliot Museum and the Oceanographic Center.

Bireley noted that the summer deals are a solution for new residents and their visiting friends and family. “This is like a solution for those friends and family coming,” she said. “You can look at this, all these offers and get so many ideas at discounted rates.”

The deals are available through September, providing ample opportunity for families to explore the area even after school resumes. More information can be found on the Visit St. Lucie website, on the locals-only tab.
