Urban Meyer seems like the last person who should be giving the Jaguars advice on how to fix their franchise.

But that’s exactly what the team’s failed former coach did in an apparent Cameo video shared by X account UCF Jaguar on Tuesday, pleading for owner Shad Khan to hire Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and to stay away from Bill Belichick.

“All right, Mr. Shad, you invest a lot into this franchise. Now it’s time to make the right decision to get a return,” Meyer says in the video. “The kid you’ve got down there [Trevor Lawrence] is a gunslinger. Build it around him. Don’t go for the old guard. Go for the young and fresh. Hire Ben, not Bill.”

Meyer then urges Khan to get a general manager like “Ray or Ian,” apparent references to Ray Agnew, the Lions assistant GM, and Ian Cunningham, the Bears assistant GM.

He also says to bring in “experienced vets like Tony or Fred,” possible references to Jaguars franchise legends Tony Boselli and Fred Taylor.

Current Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson is on the hot seat with the team sitting at 2-10.

On Cameo, fans can pay celebrities for personalized messages. Meyer charges $345 per video with all the proceeds going to the Meyer Family Foundation.

After winning three national championships as a college coach (two at Florida, one at Ohio State), Meyer made the jump to the NFL with the Jaguars in 2021 and did not even finish his first season, getting fired after going 2-11.

That October, video emerged of Meyer dancing with a woman who wasn’t his wife at a bar in Columbus, Ohio.

Meyer was also accused of getting into a heated argument with wide receiver Marvin Jones and called his assistant coaches “losers.”

Former Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo then accused Meyer of kicking him during a practice, after which Meyer was fired.
