Vice President JD Vance responded to critics who questioned his effectiveness in talks with Iran, jokingly citing his recent appearance on “The View” as proof of the contrary.

“Just two days ago, I spent over an hour on ‘The View,’ so I actually have great experience in very hostile negotiations.”

“Look, Joy Behar is way tougher than the Iranians,” he added, “and she and I are best friends now.”

The VP also brushed off President Trump’s Wednesday comment that Vance would take the fall if talks go sideways.

“I think the president was joking, but as he often does,” Vance said.
