PEOPLE’s resident astrologer Kyle Thomas breaks down the exciting energy that will affect the zodiac signs on Dec. 2

Dec. 2 is the perfect day to let loose and go with the flow, especially when it comes to your relationships.

Venus — the planet of pleasure and love — will be in a harmonious trine with Uranus – the planet of surprise — which will encourage the collective to “have some fun in all areas of life, whether that be relationships, hobbies, or creativity,” per astrologer Kyle Thomas.

Thomas explains that this “cosmic weather” will give everyone an “opportunity to harness their blessings,” especially with Venus in Capricorn, where it’s been stationed since Nov. 11.

“There will be an eagerness to embrace the physical world, our bodies, and manifest goals,” Thomas explains. “With Taurus being tied to hedonism and money and Capricorn aligning with ambition and professional goals, we could see surprises and sweet opportunities to expand our horizons around any of these themes.”

He adds, “On a collective level, with Venus embodying the archetypes of love and relationships, and linking with Uranus, the planet of change, we can expect that we will be eager to step out of our comfort zones, try something new, and look outside of the box.”

While some may be drawn to sticking to their normal Monday schedule, Thomas says this is actually the perfect day to attend “a holiday party, spontaneously go shopping, or whisk off your sweetheart to see the Christmas lights,” especially since “we will be drawn to uniqueness, eccentricity, and “wow-factor” when it comes to life.

This particular transit will also bring extra luck in relationships. Thomas says for those casually dating or already in an established relationship, the trine will be a great day to “be playful, frisky and flirty” and “try to spice it up and let out your giddy, inner child.”

If you’re looking to start a relationship, Thomas warns that since we’re in the middle of Mercury retrograde and Mars retrograde is just around the corner on Dec. 6, “it may be best to take this time slowly and just see how it goes.”

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Look out for surprises around money and career, Aries! Thomas says “you may find that there’s a new opportunity to receive a bonus or gift or that your creative approach has impressed higher-ups and they’re rewarding you with more career praise.”

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Taurus, it’s time to embrace the butterflies and adrenaline! According to Thomas, “today’s cosmic weather has you feeling frisky and a bit rebellious.”

“This would be an excellent day to do something spontaneous with a sweetheart — and if single, you could find a magnetic attraction,” he continues. “On a separate note, you could find that your unique approach to work helps you to win big at this time, especially if it involves a communications-related endeavor, a contract or a travel opportunity.”

Gemini (May 21 – May 20)

Geminis may be feeling extra eager to make a connection, but Thomas says that they may be “more focused on lying low behind closed doors rather than being out and about.”

“If attached, you may harness the cosmic flow today to embrace a fun night in filled with games, food, and entertainment,” he explains. “On a different level, though, today could inspire you with an “ah ha!” moment around investing or wealth creation.”

Cancer: (June 21 – July 22)

For Cancers, Thomas advises to not “let today’s gorgeous energy go to waste” because “you are going to be feeling especially popular and loved by the universe.”

“Despite it being the beginning of the week, you’re encouraged to make socializing and relationships a top priority,” he says. “For instance, you could hear exciting news from a friend about a lovely gathering—or be attending a holiday one already. On a separate note, if you’re single, today would be a great chance to consider who you know in your network could be a soulmate with partner potential.”

Leo: (July 23 – Aug. 22)

Good news and surprises regarding your career might be just around the corner, Leo! Thomas says “if you’ve been chugging along in the right productive rhythm, you may find that you are suddenly rewarded in regards to work and career.” He adds that “some of you may receive a sweet holiday gift or bonus from your employer at this time.”

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22)

“The heavens are aligned for such sweet enjoyment today, Virgo,” Thomas says. “So don’t be too focused on your never-ending workload!”

Thomas says you will be in the “mood for love and feel the fire of life burning in your heart” and encourages you to “enjoy time with a sweetheart, go on a spontaneous date or focus on your hobbies will fill you with a giddy vibe.” He also says that “some of you may even see a win around a travel opportunity, a contract, or an intellectual project.”

Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22)

Libra, it’s time to dive into the magic of life and lean into the “vibrant, kinetic energy in the air!” Thomas says that “your home and family should be bringing you especially sweet feelings now, whether you’re having people over or simply basking in the beauty of your holiday decorations.” He also says that “today could also bring the possibility of a bonus or ‘gift’ from the universe — if you’ve been looking for the approval of a mortgage, that may also manifest, too.”

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)

A lively and social day awaits, Scorpio! Thomas explains that today’s energy will bring “many people that will want to be chatting it up and linking in with you — friends, neighbors, and if you’re attached, your partner.” He adds “if single, this could be a dazzling day to be out and about—you may meet someone who mirrors you beautifully and fascinates your mind.”

Sagittarius: (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21)

Sagittarius, your hard work is going to be rewarded today! Thomas says that you may see “a raise, bonus, or ‘gift’ come your way’ and that “this will all likely be tied to your productivity and employment, so hopefully you’ve been on the right track.”

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19)

Capricorn, today may be your favorite day of the month because “it will feel like the universe is electric with exhilarating vibes.” Thomas says that “you will enjoy an extra special ‘wow factor’ at this time [and will be] able to charm and attract everyone.”

“Pleasure, beauty, and laughter could be around every corner—especially if you embrace a bit of spontaneity,” he explains. “On a separate note, delightful news could come to you from your sweetheart or child. Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18)

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20)
