Barring a Michigan win over Ohio State, Franklin’s squad won’t compete for the Big Ten championship game next week. But unlike past years, that won’t spell the end of Penn State’s CFP hopes. Penn State was ranked No. 4 in the CFP top 25 and penciled in as the No. 6 seed in the 12-team bracket from Tuesday’s CFP rankings.

All those aspirations, however, could come apart with another loss on the season to a sub-.500 Terrapins team.
