After dropping a winnable game at home on Friday, Liam McNeeley and UConn men’s basketball looks to get back on track Tuesday with the start of an important two-game road trip.

The Huskies (16-7 overall, 8-4 in Big East play) kick off their two-game slate with a flight out to Omaha, Nebraska and the CHI Health Center Omaha to face No. 21 Creighton (18-6, 11-2) at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday.

Dan Hurley’s squad fell out of Sports Coaches and AP Top 25 polls this week following its 68-62 loss to No. 8 St. John’s last Friday at home.

The Huskies, who have lost three of their last six games, dropped to a No. 8 seed in ESPN bracketologist Joe Lundari’s latest NCAA Tournament projection. McNeeley finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds against St. John’s, his first game back after sustaining a high-ankle injury at the start of January.

Creighton looks to sweep the regular season series against UConn on Tuesday, after the Bluejays stole a 68-63 win against the then-14th ranked Huskies in the earlier season matchup. The Bluejays, led by three-time Big East defensive player of the year Ryan Kalkbrenner and Steven Ashworth, have won nine straight games.
