The Badgers held Monangai to just 16 yards on eight carries in a 24-13 victory over the Scarlet Knights last season.

Monangai is second in the league in rushing through five games this season and Rutgers has won four of the games. So he probably wants a little payback against the Badgers when they meet Saturday.

Meanwhile, UW quarterback Braedyn Locke is looking to bulid on last week’s 52-6 thrashing of Purdue. It’s an important road test for the 3-2 Badgers.

JR RADCLIFFE: Kyle Monangai, Rutgers’ talented running back who enters the week second in Big Ten rushing, was a non-factor last year when the two teams played, but I have a hard time envisioning lightning striking twice for UW’s defense. Wisconsin did absolutely everything it could against Purdue last week to demonstrate progress and shake the caveat of “it’s only Purdue,” and yet, I’m still stuck there. On the road against a decent foe in a sneaky crucial game for the team’s hopes of an above-.500 record, I’m still not quite a believer. Rutgers 28, Wisconsin 20.
