From big business to reality television, the Trump family name has been well known since long before the 45th president of the United States first moved into the White House.

Donald Trump’s father, Frederick Christ Trump Sr., was born in New York City in 1905, according to The New York Times. As for his mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, born in 1912, she was a Scottish immigrant who came to America in her late teens, the Times reported. She wed Trump Sr., a successful entrepreneur and real estate developer, in 1936, six years before she became a naturalized citizen, according to The New Yorker.

The president-elect, born June 14, 1946, is one of five children the pair had during their 63-year marriage. They were also parents to daughters Maryanne Trump Barry and Elizabeth Trump Grau, as well as sons Fred Trump Jr. and Robert Trump. Grau is Donald Trump’s only surviving sibling.

The patriarch of the Trump family died in 1999 at the age of 93. His wife died the following year at the age of 88.

Ivana Trump, ex-wife

The thrice-married former and future president’s first time down the aisle was alongside Ivana Trump (née Zelníčková). The Czechoslovakian-born model and socialite, who later became an integral part of the Trump Organization, married the businessman in 1977. It was her second of four marriages over the course of her life, according to NBC News.

The couple divorced in the early ’90s, after welcoming three children together: Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump.

Ivana Trump died in 2022 at the age of 73.

Marla Maples, ex-wife

Model and actor Marla Maples was the second woman to wed Donald Trump. Maples, born in 1963, and the past “Apprentice” star said their “I dos” in 1993, in a lavish and star-studded ceremony at the Plaza Hotel in New York City, the Times reported.

Two months before the wedding, they welcomed their only child together, daughter Tiffany Trump.

Maples and Trump separated in 1997, and in August of that year, Trump announced in a statement they were divorcing, The Associated Press reported, according to the Times.

Melania Trump, wife

Trump met the woman who would become wife No. 3, Melania Trump (née Knauss), in November 1998 at a Fashion Week party, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

Born in Slovenia in 1970, she, like both of his previous wives, worked as a model before their nuptials. But unlike the others, Melania Trump’s marriage to Donald Trump, which started in 2005, has endured. And when he began his first term as POTUS in 2017, she became first lady of the United States.

The two share one child together, son Barron Trump.

Donald Trump Jr., son

Donald John Trump Jr., born Dec. 31, 1977, is the eldest of the three children the president-elect shared with his first wife, Ivana Trump.

Don Jr., as he’s often referred to as, serves as an executive at the Trump Organization. He has also campaigned for his father.

Trump Jr. is engaged to former prosecutor and former Fox News host Kimberly Ann Guilfoyle, who also once worked for Donald Trump’s reelection campaign.

He first married Vanessa Haydon in 2005, and Haydon began legal action to end the marriage in 2018, NBC New York reported. Together they have five children: daughters Kai and Chloe, and sons Donald, Tristan and Spencer.

Ivanka Trump, daughter

Ivana Marie Trump, better known as Ivanka Trump, was born Oct. 30, 1981, and is the second child and only daughter from her father’s first marriage.

The entrepreneur, who once worked as an executive at the Trump Organization, also worked alongside her father as an adviser when he was the president in 2017.

Since 2009, she’s been married to Jared Kushner, who also worked as a senior adviser during President Donald Trump’s first term. The couple have three children: daughter Arabella and sons Joseph and Theodore.

Eric Trump, son

Eric Frederick Trump, born Jan. 6, 1984, is the youngest of Donald and Ivana Trump’s three children.

While both of his older siblings graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Eric Trump attended Georgetown University. Like his big brother, he currently co-runs the Trump Organization and works as an executive.

He and his wife, Lara Trump, who wed in 2014, are parents to two children: son Eric, whom they call by his middle name — Luke, and daughter Carolina.

Tiffany Trump, daughter

Shortly before marrying Maples, Donald Trump and his now-ex-wife welcomed daughter Tiffany Ariana Trump on Oct. 13, 1993.

The president-elect’s younger daughter attended both the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown University Law Center, and after her graduation, she campaigned for her father ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

In 2022, she married businessman Michael Boulos at her father’s Palm Beach home and resort, Mar-a-Lago. On Oct. 10, 2024, Donald Trump announced that the couple were expecting their first child.

Barron Trump, son

Barron William Trump, born March 20, 2006, to Donald and Melania Trump, has a distinction that his half siblings lack: He’s the only one of Trump’s children to have actually called the White House home.

His distinction even goes beyond that, as Barron Trump was also the first boy to live in the White House in more than 50 years when he moved there in 2017.
