Football fans won’t be finishing those Thanksgiving leftovers with the Miami Dolphins today. If they’re wondering why, they might still be in that food coma they were nursing while the Dolphins were playing Thursday night.
Miami saw their three-game winning streak snapped in the “frozen tundra” by the Green Bay Packers. Tua Tagovailoa played well in the cold, throwing for a season-high 365 yards and two touchdowns, but the defense had trouble tackling Josh Jacobs, Jayden Reed and the rest of the Packers.
At 5-7, the Dolphins are in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time in three years. They sit two games out of the final AFC wild card spot, currently held by the 7-5 Denver Broncos. There is still hope, as Miami has one of the easiest remaining schedules by opponents’ record. The bad news: So do the Indianapolis Colts, another team seeking to break into the playoff picture.

Here’s all you need to know about the Dolphins’ schedule in Week 13 and onward:
Do the Dolphins play today?
No. The Dolphins played their Week 13 game on Thanksgiving night, losing 30-17 at the Green Bay Packers.
Miami returns next Sunday for a Week 14 home matchup against the New York Jets (3-8), their first divisional meeting against Aaron Rodgers. After that is a trip to face the Houston Texans, who at 7-5 are the last team on the Dolphins’ schedule with a winning record. However, the Texans enter today’s game at the Jacksonville Jaguars having lost three of their past four games.
The Dolphins then play the San Francisco 49ers (5-6) in their home finale and close the regular season at the Cleveland Browns (3-8) and the Jets.
