While fears of a military parade cancellation has stoked confusion due to weather woes, Trump said on June 12 the parade is on and any impending rain “brings you good luck.” The Army’s 250th birthday parade on June 14 will storm through the heart of Washington, D.C. and will include thousands of troops, warplanes, tankers, parachuters, musical guests, celebrities, athletes and a dog named Doc Holliday. June 14 will also celebrate Flag Day and Pope Leo XIV, who will have a Chicago event in his honor. Roughly 2,000 “No Kings” anti-Trump protests are also planned worldwide.

The Army Birthday Parade will take place Saturday, June 14 on Constitution Avenue near the National Mall in the heart of Washington, D.C. Trump will sit in a viewing stand on Constitution Avenue, just south of the White House.

The Army said the parade will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and conclude around 7:30 p.m. Following the parade, Trump is expected to attend an enlistment and re-enlistment ceremony, and the evening concludes with a concert at the Ellipse, the park south of the White House fence, and fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

The parade and other highlights from the military celebration will be livestreamed across U.S. Army social media platforms, although the event may not broadcast directly on national TV, and instead on streaming platforms.
Variety reported national TV news networks, such as ABC, NBC and CBS, are unlikely to pre-empt regular TV programming to cover the event, citing sources familiar with their plans. Streaming platforms, like ABC News Live, NBC News Now and CBS News 24/7 are instead planning to cover the event.

The latest price tag for the massive event is $30 million, a figure that could rise as high as $45 million.
The Army has promised to fix any city streets caused by parade damage, including from the massive tanks rolling through, according to USA TODAY. Cleanup costs and police were not part of the estimate.
Who is paying for Trump military parade?
The parade and festivities will be funded by taxpayer dollars, which has drawn criticism from lawmakers who believe the money could be spent elsewhere.
“If it was really about celebrating military families, we could put $30 million toward helping them offset the cost of their child care, food assistance and tuition,” Sen. Tammy Duckworth said on X. “But it isn’t. Trump is throwing himself a $30 million birthday parade just to stroke his own ego.”
Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul said he “wouldn’t have done it,” stating the U.S. was “proud” not to be like the images seen of military parades in North Korea and the Soviet Union.
