Jamie Dimon and his wife Judith Kent met for the first time when both attended Harvard Business School. As mentioned in his biography, Last Man Standing, Dimon had offered to pay for drinks on their first date, but unfortunately did not have the money. This led to Kent paying for their drinks. Dimon and Kent then got married in 1983. As stated in Last Man Standing, prior to their marriage, Kent’s parents had hoped Dimon would convert to their religion, Judaism. However, Dimon had refused to convert. Thus, as a compromise, Dimon and Kent wrote their own vows and ensured their marriage ceremony was within 10 minutes, in exchange for letting the latter’s family’s rabbi marry them.
