Ben Waddell is saying g’day to Bravo’s Summer House.

A Sunday, December 7, teaser for the upcoming 10th season revealed that Australian native Ben, 38, would be one of the new housemates at Bravo cast’s Hampton’s house.

“We got some new people in the mix,” show vet Kyle Cooke said in the trailer footage, referring to six newbies, one of whom was Ben.

“Ben Waddell enters the summer house with swagger, six-pack energy and Aussie humor,” a Bravo cast bio reads. “Originally from the Land Down Under, a brutal breakup and not much luck on The Australian Bachelor has left Ben searching for something else. This summer he’s open to fun, flings and perhaps even a special visitor, as long as they’ve got confidence, spark and a killer smile.”

Costar West Wilson even proclaimed in the trailer that Ben looked “so handsome.”

Ben Waddell Has a Reality TV Past

After Ben met the ladies of Summer House in the trailer, Ciara Miller asked whether he “was on The Bachelor in Australia.”

Ben, in fact, was one of the three Bachelors on the Australian reality TV show in 2023, where he gave his final rose to Mckenna Lee. The pair’s romance, however, fizzled shortly after the show wrapped.

“While distance and communication over the last few months prevented us from exploring our romantic connection and Ben and I aren’t together, we are still in contact as friends and I only want the best for him,” Mckenna wrote via Instagram in December 2023. “This may not have been the outcome I’d hoped for, but I’ve taken so many lessons from this amazing experience. I walk away with a renewed sense of self, a full heart and beautiful friendships.”

Ben Waddell Had a Job Pre-Reality TV Fame

According to Australia’s Who magazine, Ben worked as an environmental sustainability entrepreneur before he went on The Bachelor. He has also done some modeling work.

Ben Waddell Has a History With Zac Efron — Sort Of

Back in 2020, Ben claimed to be working on a sustainability docuseries called Down to Earth before Zac Efron was called to host a show with the same name for Netflix.

“As a rookie filmmaker, I guess you don’t really know how to cover your tracks,” Ben claimed to Australia’s A Current Affair. “We looked into it, copyrighted it, you know, [and] we did everything that we thought was right.”

According to Ben, his show was rejected by multiple networks because “sustainability didn’t pack enough punch.”

“They wanted to get a celebrity host, and I said no because I wanted to learn [and] I wanted to be the host,” Ben said at the time. “You just sort of watch it and you go, this, is this real? You can’t actually believe that.”

Zac’s legal team subsequently shut down any comparison between the two concepts.

“Neither [Zac] nor his producing partner, nor their companies, ever had any contact with Mr Waddell,” a statement obtained by the Australian outlet read. “They never heard of him or his show and they had no knowledge of his show idea. The show was never pitched to them.”

Ben Waddell Gets Flirty in ‘Summer House’ Season 10 Supertease

In the teaser footage, Ben seemingly has eyes for Amanda Batula despite her rocky marriage to Kyle.

“Amanda can walk into a room and light it up with her smile,” he gushed before the camera cut to footage of the swimsuit designer playing with his hair.

In a separate scene, fellow newbie Bailey Taylor tells Amanda that “Ben definitely wants to sleep with you.”

Ben Waddell Has a Girlfriend

While Ben was seemingly single while filming Summer House season 10 in the summer, he is presently off the market.

“You can always tell when a man gets a girlfriend… his IG goes from 0 to curated real quick,” Ben wrote via Instagram on September 23. Love you @sabrinajet_.”

Weeks later, Ben and Sabrina posted their first joint social media upload.

“Number one girl 🌹,” their caption read, accompanying a loved-up pic of the pair cuddling on a beach at sunset.

Summer House premieres on Bravo February 3, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET.
