The next election for Shelby County and Memphis will be in 2026 and include the entire board of the Shelby County Commission and the Shelby County mayor along with various other county elected offices.
There haven’t been many candidates declaring for spots that will open up in 2026, but Shelby County Government chief administrative officer Harold Collins announced his candidacy for Shelby County Mayor in June.
Current Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris is termed out of his position as mayor and cannot run for reelection.
