A Perth woman has shown off her incredible weight loss transformation that has changed her life forever.

Back in August 2023, Holly Gaylard had reached her heaviest weight of 231lbs, while she was barely fitting into her size 18-20 clothes anymore due to her weight.

The 25-year-old was at a low point in her life.

After her family went through an unimaginable tragedy, she began finding solace in food and alcohol, spiraling into a devastating addiction.

Her days would be filled with consuming unhealthy, calorie-laden meals and she felt like her life “revolved around drinking”, while she rarely got any exercise at all.

But in just eight months, she managed to drop an incredible 77lbs and four dress sizes by turning her life around — and now feels healthier than ever in her new 154-pound physique.

“I used to be quite chubby as a kid and have never really been at a super healthy weight,” she told news.com.au.

“I was in a bad relationship from the ages of 15 – 22, which had a huge impact on my mental health and in turn, my weight gain.

“I never really felt good enough and stopped putting myself first. I reached a point where I loved alcohol more than life.

“I was highly addicted and was drinking every day. I also loved food like pasta, ice cream, and fast food.

“None of it would fill me up so I’d eat huge quantities of it. It was a bad cycle.”

In June 2023, her family suffered a horrific tragedy after Holly’s sister lost one of her twin boys when they were just one month old.

She said that this type of loss was unbearable for her and broke her family in ways she never thought possible.

Two months later, Holly reached her heaviest weight and decided enough was enough: it was time to pull herself out of the darkness.

Looking at her body in the mirror, she knew it was time for change.

“Being overweight just makes everything so hard,” she said.

“I was always the biggest girl in the friend group and felt like I was always overlooked.

“When I was at my biggest, I couldn’t go on certain water slides due to my size and even had to weigh myself in front of a crowd at Adventure World to get on a ride.

“I could have died of embarrassment.

“One of the worst times was when a man yelled at me in the club that I ‘looked like a fat whale’.

“That must have been one of the most terrible things anyone has ever said to me. It was mortifying.”

With her mental health at a low point, Holly began to make small changes to her lifestyle and slowly started to feel better about herself with each day that passed.

To help keep her on track and motivated, she followed Bridget’s Healthy Kitchen (BHK) program, which offers customers nutritionally balanced recipes to aid in weight loss.

“I have struggled mentally most of my life and never knew why or how to fix it,” she explained.

“But since eating Bridget’s Healthy Kitchen it has completely changed my mental health like you wouldn’t believe.

“Even in my early childhood, I would describe myself as chubby and never really could keep the weight off.

“I’ve actually never been this healthy in my life.”

While Holly says she does not work out regularly, her job at Boost Juice keeps her physically active throughout the week.

Now after dropping an astonishing 77lbs, she feels better than ever before and looks forward to a healthier and brighter future.

“I honestly feel incredible, I have so much energy all the time and feel way more confident,” she beamed.

“I am so much happier. I would encourage anyone looking to change their life to just start.

“It doesn’t matter if you start with big or small steps, just begin. That’s the most important step.

“Health is so important and it is something we should all prioritize.”
