“Young Sheldon” star Iain Armitage is returning to CBS — and this time, he’s all grown up. Armitage is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of the CBS comedy “Ghosts.” According to the character description, Armitage will appear as a “heightened version of himself, taking part in a high-stakes poker game at the mansion.”

The episode, which begins filming today, is currently scheduled to air on April 16, 2026.

Armitage spent seven seasons as the star of “The Big Bang Theory” prequel “Young Sheldon,” which ended its run in May 2024. He kicked off his career in HBO’s “Big Little Lies.” In film, he appeared in Netflix’s “Our Souls at Night,” Lionsgate’s “The Glass Castle” and the indie film “I’m Not Here.” He’s also the voice of young Shaggy in “Scoob!” and the voice of Chase in Paramount’s “Paw Patrol” animated feature.

Armitage has been nominated for a Critics Choice Award for lead in a comedy series and a Teen Choice Award in the breakout TV star category. As part of the “Big Little Lies” cast he was nominated at the SAG awards for best ensemble.

“Ghosts,” which is now in its fifth season, stars Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Román Zaragoza, Sheila Carrasco, Rebecca Wisocky and Devan Chandler Long.

CBS Studios, in association with Lionsgate Television and BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions, are behind “Ghosts,” which comes from showrunners and executive producers Joe Port and Joe Wiseman. Richie Keen, Matthew Baynton, Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond and Martha Howe-Douglas, Alison Carpenter, Debra Hayward, Alison Owen (Monumental Television), Angie Stephenson (BBC Studios), Josh Malmuth, John Blickstead and Trey Kollmer are also exec producers.

Armitage is repped by Jamie Pillet at William Morris Endeavor and Ryan LeVine at Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
