BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – Z-107.3 is hosting its Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Radiothon today.
Northern Light at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Z-107.3 are all partnering and asking for donations to help kids in need of care.
Beginning at 7 Thursday morning, they will stay on the air for 12 hours. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals helps provide E-M-M-C with therapies, modern equipment and additional education for their staff.
According to hospital staff, donations from Children’s Miracle Network have truly made a difference in a child’s hospital experience.
“It really makes the difference between just meeting the need, the basic needs of a child and really meeting the full experience of a child that’s here so that they feel immersed in a place that’s designed for them, that has everything that they need, that’s state-of-the-art, at the highest standard, we really aim to achieve, there’s no difference in getting care here in Maine than anywhere else,” said Northern Light EMMC Chief of Pediatrics Dr. Shannon Marchegiani.
