Zendaya shook it up with this red carpet look.
At The Gothams 34th Annual Film Awards Dec. 2, the Euphoria actress wowed in a head-turning simple yet chic number that featured a halter-cut white, floor-length gown.
To top off her timeless ensemble, Zendaya wore her hair in a sleek ponytail and kept her makeup simple, opting for a smoky eye, nude lip and rosy cheeks.
But the 28-year-old was ready for more than just acing her red carpet look. After all, she stepped out to receive the night’s top honor, the 2024 Spotlight Tribute, for her role as Tashi Donaldson in Challengers.
“Zendaya’s magnetic portrayal of Tashi Donaldson in Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers exemplifies the creative excellence that The Gotham celebrates,” The Gotham Film and Media Institute’s executive director Jeffrey Sharp, previously explained. “Her performances in Dune: Part One, Dune: Part Two and Euphoria have made her one of the most captivating actors of her generation.”
Also up for Best Feature at the ceremony, Zendaya’s venture into more mature roles in recent years was nothing short of intentional.
“From a character perspective, I want to find things that will push me,” Zendaya told Elle in 2023. “As I get older, you know, I can’t play a teenager for the rest of my life.”

And while the former Disney darling was a bit nervous to dive into the racy role, she knew that the opportunity would help her grow as an actress.
“It was a little bit scary to take on, which I think is a good feeling,” she explained. “To be like, ‘Ooh, can I do this?’ You could run from that feeling and stay safe and comfortable, or you can go, ‘You know what, f–k it.’ “
While her onscreen skills have put Zendaya on the map, so too has her style.
Not only did she stun on the Challengers press tour with looks that fused tennis and high fashion, but at the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony The Greatest Showman actress arrived in a steamy Bob Mackie gown inspired by Cher.
While the look was from the designer’s Fall 2001 Foreign Entry collection, there was no denying the resemblance to Cher’s iconic 1972 number.
To drive the look home, Zendaya channeled the “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer even more by wearing her hair in a pin-straight style that flowed down her back.
Sometimes, though, the Shake it Up alum will bring double her fashion A-game by matching with boyfriend Tom Holland. Indeed, the couple stepped out hand in hand while sporting matching burgundy ensembles for the Oct. 24 launch of Tom’s non-alcoholic beer, BERO, in New York City.
Though Zendaya is no stranger to a killer outfit, she admitted that the secret to her style is her fashion-forward persona.
“She’s a different being that comes into me — my own Sasha Fierce,” the Emmy winner told Vogue, referring to Beyoncé’s iconic alter ego, in an interview published Apr. 9. “She takes over and she does the carpet.”
Just like when she’s on the big screen, every time she hits the red carpet she embodies a character.
“I have to buy her,” she added. “I have to buy that this woman exists, or that this fantasy exists.”
