The Lehigh Valley saw a little bit of everything in 2024, including floods, wildfires, droughts and train derailments.
Pennsylvania was (once again) a big factor in the presidential election. The Harris/Walz and Trump/Vance presidential campaigns paid a number of visits to the Lehigh Valley looking for support.
Our area athletes, in all sports, continued to compete at the highest levels.
This year Pennsylvania held its inaugural PIAA girls wrestling tournament.
Easton’s Aubre Krazer and Palisades’ Savannah Witt represented the Lehigh Valley well. Both made history at becoming state champions in their weight class during the tournament.
Bethlehem Catholic’s wrestling team won their state title.
The Northwestern Lehigh High School had an unprecedented year. Their girls and boys soccer teams and football team went undefeated and all three won the PIAA state titles in their sports.
