The NFL divisional playoff round has nearly taken it’s full form.
With just one Wild Card game left to play between the Steelers and Texans, we look ahead to what will be a phenomenal weekend of football between the best that the NFL has to offer.
A few surprising favorites have emerged, according to oddsmakers, where the Buffalo Bills are now the betting favorites to win the AFC after an impressive win over the Jaguars on the road.
Wouldn’t you know it, the Bills are again favored, this time at Denver in Mile High against the top AFC seed.
The line has not moved since opening, and frankly, we don’t expect it to.
Below, we take a look at the lines and target some spreads that we think could move ahead of the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.
NFL Playoff odds: Divisional round
NFL Divisional Round odds
---
Bills (-1.5) @ Broncos
49ers +7.5 @ Seahawks
Rams -3.5 @ Bears
Texans/Steelers @ Patriots
NFL Playoffs Divisional round odds, early predictions
49ers +7.5 at Seahawks
The 49ers officially qualify for “nobody believes in us” status. San Francisco was a big underdog coming in at six points at one point during the week against the Eagles.
San Francisco might not beat Seattle as they did against the Eagles as big underdogs, but the 49ers should be able to accrue enough betting interest to push this line below a touchdown.
This price is available currently on Caesars Sportsbook, BetMGM, Fanatics, and bet365; while other books such as FanDuel and DraftKings have moved the line to +7 at the time of writing.
Will it get to 6.5? That’s your ideal buyback price on Seattle.
George Kittle being out certainly hurts that cause, but fullback Kyle Juszczyk was reliable on passing downs and could help pick up that lost production.
Betting on the NFL?
Bears +4 vs. Rams
This is another line that the betting market is split on.
The Bears are four-point underdogs on Fanatics Sportsbook, and they’re one of the few, as the betting market has begun to move to +3.5.
Bears +4 is also available on BetRivers, but that’s about it in terms of Bears +4 being available on the betting market.
To be clear, this line is highly unlikely to get to Rams -2.5 before kickoff, which is the ideal middle point.
Although that could be available live once the game goes off.
The sports betting game is to get the best of the number, and Bears +4 certainly seems like the best number we can get.
