What does the future hold? No need to guess. Head to the South Florida Fairgrounds anytime from Jan. 17 to Feb. 2 to investigate the possibilities as presented by the 2025 South Florida Fair under this year’s theme, “Imagine the Future.”

The centerpiece of this theme is a collection of 15 interactive “Science Fiction, Science Future” exhibits housed in the Expo East building. Designed by Scitech out of Perth, Australia and produced by Imagine, these exhibits will allow guests to move objects with their mind, turn invisible, be mimicked by life-like robots, see augmented reality in action and more. (Also, relax. There won’t be any terminators, replicants or face-hugging aliens in this future.)

New acts, old favorites ahead at South Florida Fair 2025

Other new features will also be presented, including The Flying Royals trapeze troup, a Foods of the Future tour, two Electronic Dance Music nights and more.

Fun features returning for this year include hypnotist Brad Matchett, the Tribute Band Competition, a drumline competition (featuring Palm Beach Post food writer Diana Biederman as a judge) and the Cowboy and Cowgirl Circus acts.

If you’ve got a need for speed or a thrill fix, this year’s fair will be more than able to scratch that itch with over 200 rides, games and attractions. Among the new rides: Super Himalaya, Kraken and Candyland Adventure Fun House.

Live bands, award winning agriculture, and, of course, great food at the 2025 South Florida Fair in West Palm Beach

The Super Himalaya, a new ride at this year’s South Florida Fair, will take riders on a wild ride.

There will also be award-winning agriculture and livestock programs with more than 2,000 exhibits presented by nearly 500 exhibitors from over 30 Florida counties; a historic Yesteryear Village; daily parades; “Sci-Fi on Ice” skating shows; and four entertainment stages featuring live bands including The Beatle Maniacs, Red Not Chili Peppers, Spred the Dub, N2Nation, Yaupon Holly, Joe Reid and Heartland and more.

After you’ve taken mind for a crazy ride of sights, sounds and imagination, take your taste buds on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride through one delicious treat after another as dozens of vendors seek to outdo themselves with crazy, but delicious concoctions.
