If you’re not watching Invincible, then you’re missing out on one of the best comic-book adaptations on TV. This show is definitely not for kids, but it’s got some of the best action scenes you’ll ever see, animated or otherwise. Steven Yeun leads the cast as Mark Grayson, a superhero who doesn’t always live up to his codename.
Mark’s father, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons), was essentially the Superman of this world until it was revealed that he was sent by his people, the Viltrumites, to conquer Earth. Mark rebelled against his father, and in season 4, Omni-Man returns to help his son prepare to fight the inevitable Viltrumite invasion. Mark may not be sure if he can trust his dad, but he doesn’t really have a choice.
