Applications are now being accepted to participate in the Miss Clatsop County Scholarship Pageant, which will take place at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center on Feb. 22.
The pageant is the official preliminary competition of the Miss Oregon Scholarship Program and is part of the Miss America Organization. The winners will go on to represent the county at the state pageant in June.
In 2024, over $5,000 was available for scholarships for participants. This money can be used for any accredited college or university, including trade schools and community colleges. For information, rules and how to apply, go to missclatsopcounty.org.
Applications are also available for the Miss Clatsop County’s Shining Stars, a noncompetitive program, for ages 6 to 13 as of Feb. 22, that focuses on developing life skills. For information and to apply, go to missclatsopcounty.org/shining-stars.
